FIL 2030 - History of Film Credit Hours: 3.0
Prerequisite(s): ENC1101 with C Corequisite(s): None
This is a survey course designed to help students gain an in-depth knowledge of the history of motion pictures as art and industry from 1895 to the present; students will understand the development of film and its development over time. Students will view films ranging from silent masterpieces through current classics. The course will introduce technological developments as well as cultural and thematic developments in mass culture over time.
