This course will provide the information the dental hygiene student needs to understand the clinical usage of therapeutic agents and anesthesia used in the practice of dentistry. The indications, dosage, methods of administration, contraindications and side effects of these agents will be studied to give the student hygienist a foundation in the physical manifestations to be expected in drug administration.
