MUT 2116 - Music Theory 3

This is the third semester of the four-semester theory track. The purpose of the course is to develop a working knowledge of the materials and structures of tonal music. Primary topics include diatonic triads and seventh chords, secondary dominants and diminished seventh chords, modal change, Neapolitan and augmented sixth chords, binary and ternary form, and modulation techniques.
