CGS 1000 - Introduction to College Computing

Credit Hours: 3.0

Corequisite(s): None
This course is designed to provide individuals with no previous computer science or IT coursework the computer skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the academic environment and in today’s workplace. Major topics include:  File Management, Microsoft Office Word and Excel, Computer Networking and Security, Database concepts, Internet Research, and an introduction to Artificial Intelligence. Please note that, since technology is a rapidly changing and evolving discipline, some topics may be added or changed as needed to stay current.
