An introduction to management principles, this course analyzes the major functions of management - planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. Emphasis is placed on learning how to manage organizations for excellence in both performance and employee satisfaction. Major topics include goal setting and goal achievement, strategic planning, decision making, designing organizational structure; motivating and leading, managerial control ethics, and stress management skills. The use of technology in managerial decision-making and leadership is discussed.
