MAT 0057  - Developmental Mathematics

This course is designed to help students develop computation skills needed for college course work. This course includes an in-depth study of linear equations and inequalities; integer exponents and their properties; operations on polynomials, including factoring; an introduction to graphing linear functions and interpreting graphs; solving quadratic equations; and applications. Students will be given a diagnostic to determine which skills need remediation; then a prescriptive individual plan will be developed for each student.
