PGY 1800C - Digital Art Photography 1

Introduces students to the basic techniques, process, and language of digital photography. The student will learn photography from capture through output, along with discussions about ethical and legal issues involving this media. Emphasis will be placed on appreciation for the creative expression and artistic application. A digital camera with manual exposure controls is required for this class. The students will use computers in the photo lab for their assignment work and complete their camera work outside of class time as homework. Basic computer skills will be necessary. Due to a limited inventory of cameras for check-out, all photography students are highly encouraged to have their own camera.
