SPN 2220 - Intermediate Spanish 1Credit Hours: 4.0 Prerequisite(s): SPN1125 with C Corequisite(s): None This course begins the review of the Spanish language and culture of Spanish speaking countries. This course is designed for students who have completed Spanish 3 and/or have the equivalent competency of basic Spanish. The purpose of the course is to review the fundamental skills of the Spanish language within the context of contemporary Hispanic cultures. Instruction is based on a communicative approach, with activities designed to continue development of speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural skills. The interaction of language and culture will be supported with a variety of videos, multimedia programs, and Web access materials, short stories, film, and direct interaction with Spanish-speaking people.
