HIM 2005  - Data Analytics II/Project Management

Credit Hours: 3.0
Prerequisite(s): HIM1102 with C
Corequisite(s): None
This course provides a deeper dive by having the student apply healthcare informatics project management and introduces the concepts necessary to identify the major components that lead to the successful completion of a healthcare informatics project. Concepts include project planning; tracking and implementation; task delegation; time, money, data analytics and outcomes management of projects. Emphasis is placed on the importance of data analytics and the importance of curating the data for better business and clinical decisions to be made. This course must be passed with a grade of C or better. Note: Projects within the course will require use of Word, Excel, PowerPoints, and the Internet. Student is encouraged to ensure that they are comfortable with using these applications.
